Diorama Aquarium — 260×70×80 cm (2024 Masterpiece)

This diorama aquarium is a 260×70×80 cm tank of roughly 1456 litres and one of our 2024 masterpieces. A diorama recreates a real landscape — here a cave and a rocky valley — in miniature under water.

Composition

Porous, textured rock defines the character of the layout. The rock does not just rise from the floor: it is joined along a line close to the water surface to form hanging cave arches and stalactite-like shapes. Sharp rock spires and pale sand on the floor read as a valley running beneath the arches.

The photo shows the hardscape stage, when the rocks are placed and fixed one by one and the skeleton of the composition is built. At this stage the clear water lets every form be checked from all angles.

Dimensions and fabrication

A tank this size needs project-specific calculations for glass thickness and the supporting cabinet; it was built as part of our custom aquarium fabrication service. The project covered design, fabrication and on-site installation.
