Planted Aquarium Design
We design bespoke, living underwater landscapes. Every aquarium is read together with its light, scale and architecture, and delivered end to end — from design to the final detail of installation.
What We Do
Planted Aquarium Design
The light, scale and architecture of the space are read first; hardscape composition, plant list, lighting and CO2 are shaped accordingly, rooted in Takashi Amano's Nature Aquarium school.
How we work
We visit the space or study its dimensions and photographs. Daylight, background colour and eye level at the intended position drive the composition directly, so the design never starts on a blank page.
The hardscape layout comes next: focal point, rule of thirds, depth and negative space. Once rock and wood placement is settled, the plant list is chosen against light intensity and the level of upkeep the owner can commit to.
Choosing a style
Iwagumi seeks a spare balance built from a few stones; jungle layouts are dense and free; diorama builds a landscape through forced perspective. Style is chosen together, based on the scale of the space, its light and the time available for upkeep.
After handover
A planted aquarium is a living system and the intended look usually arrives in the third month. At installation we hand over the planting map, the early water-change schedule and the fertilising plan in writing.

A species list drawn up for light intensity, growth rate and upkeep demand.

Lighting & CO2
PAR target, photoperiod and CO2 rate calculated for the volume of the tank.

Filtration & Commissioning
Filter flow rate, direction and the cycling period — balanced before any livestock goes in.

Maintenance Plan
A written schedule for water changes, dosing and trimming, handed over on delivery.

Aquarium and cabinetry are built from UltraClear / AGC AZZURA optical glass with zero-silicone craft and installed on site.

The cycling period and first maintenance schedule — tracked until the system stabilizes.
